Would it be possible in the future (one step at a time i think !) to upgrade the 'system' remotely !

It is already possible to upgrade the system remotely via UCM/Ethernet and router configuration for port forwarding
You can upgrade the UCM/Ethernet by direct connection to PC or other modules by Comfort Bus

And pp2 !!!!

I would have thought that the whole point of the upgrade exercise was to eventually get to the point where you could upgrade the comfort system (in its entirety) remotely.

It should be noted however that opening up ports on the Internet is asking for trouble. All "sensitive" applications like the Comfort IP interface should be inside a seperate VLAN, accessible only via VPN. I'm using this router for this purpose: Mikrotik RouterBoard RB750
