Changes
  1. Strobe works on Slave in Test Menu - 5 for Strobe and Strobe On/Off action
  2. Siren, Strobe and Speaker works on Slaves  - Requires Slave Firmware 5.215.
  3. Event log - prevent incidents where Comfigurator reads event log which overruns to more than 100% and does not stop
  4. Event Log - improved next day and previous day menu for voice menu (more accurate)
Known Issues
  1. When armed to Night and Day Modes, the Away Mode Response is activated. The Security Mode Responses are found in Events > Miscellaneous Events in Comfigurator. Each Security Mode (Security Off, Away, Night, Day) has a Response when armed to the mode. The bug is that when armed to Night and Day Modes, the Away Mode Rresponse is activated. Please upgrade firmware to 5.218 using the link below
  2. F8 Intercom When receiver press 0 to talk then originator press 0, it cannot  talk. A simple workaround is to press 1 instead of 0 on both the originating and answering keypad to switch to talk mode.  In fact you can press any numeric key except 0 to do the job. A fuller explanation can be found in post #8 below.
  3. Scheduled Reminder Messages do not work at the correct time (from 5.173)
The current ULTRA firmware file can be downloaded from  http://www.cytech.biz/comfort_ultra_firmware.html

The SEM Firmware can be downloaded  from http://www.cytech.biz/semsep_firmware.html

Instructions for upgrading Comfort Firmware can be found at http://www.comfortforums.com/forum4/1782.html

Please note that new systems may not come with the latest firmware due to existing sticks in the supply chain. Installers should upgrade to the latest firmware before installation. Existing installed systems do not need the upgraded firmware unless the funcgtionality is to be updated or there are bugs to be fixed which affect the installation.

In preparation for the path to the iPhone app, yesterday I upgraded the firmware on my Comfort Ultra II from 5.121 to 5.217. The problem exposed below therefore emerges as some difference between these two versions, and not recent changes to the firmware version.

All went well with the upgrade.  No change has been made to the cclx file (previously the ccl file).

However, since the firmware upgrade I now have a problem when the system is put into AWAY MODE. I exit the house and the systems arms okay as usual ("slow beeps" on keypad until I exit, then system arms).

Once the system is armed however, the keypads start the "fast beep". This remains the case until the system is returned to "Security Off" status.  This did not happen under firmware 5.121.

However if the system is set to away mode with the autoarm response the keypads do not emit the "fast beep" when the system arms.

I have examined the logs and there are no alert/error entries/ open zone entries between the log item "Mode Change # Away Mode" and "Mode Change # Security Off".

Is this a design feature?  If not, is there some change in the firmware that I should take into account in my response programming? Any ideas where I should look?

Thanks

Can you send your cclx file to suppprt@cytech.biz so we can try it
There are no changes in firmware known that could be causing this

The problem is in the cclx file, perhaps caused by conversion of ccl to cclx file
In Alarm Types > Siren Types > Away Armed Siren has a duration of 0 which causes it to be permanent
The Away Armed siren causes the 2 beeps when the system is armed to Away Mode. The duration should be 1 which means the beeps should last for 1 second. In your config the beeps keep on going

Can you send the ccl file to support@cytech.biz so we can check the conversion

thanks

Thanks for this rapid analysis.

Yes, I see a difference between the ccl and the cclx files.

The entries you mention under siren types under ccl allowed an entry to one decimal place, and mine was set to 0.5 seconds.

The cclx file seems to accept only integers. It converted the 0.5 to 0.

I have sent the ccl file as requested.

Thanks again.

Colm

Yes it is a problem with reading ccl files with Comfigurator 3 where the siren duration is less than 1 second. This will be fixed in the next Comfigurator 3.3.0
Thanks for sending the files

A bug has been found in firmware 5.207 to 5.217

This affects the F8 Keypad to Kkeypad Intercom mode

After pressing F8 to talk to all keypads, any keypad could  talk by pressing 0.

Then on the originaing keypad, press 0 to talk again and so on

After the receiving keypad presses 0 to talk, when the originating keypad presses 0 to switch again, there is no effect. The switch works only the 1st time

A workaround to this is to press 1 on the keypad to switch instead of 0. In fact any numeric key except 0 can work to switch the intercom around

Note that F8 can be followed by a key 1 to 8 to select a keypad to talk to instead broadcasting to all keypads
