The KT03 Touchscreen Keypad (available end October 2010) is a Comfort keypad with a 4 inch (10 cm) monochrome LCD display with Touchscreen. The KT03 includes a built in speaker, microphone, and Infrared receiver. This is positioned as a keypad replacement, to be installed instead of or in addition to a regular keypad, and not an expensive large screen colour touchscreen used in lighting or audio-visual systems. The Installation and Programming Manuals for KT03 can be downloaded from http://www.cytech.biz/kt03_manuals.html  The image shows a typical LCD display. The speaker area is covered by a metallic-like grille with hairline finish. The status leds showing the familiar Home. Armed, AC/Battery and New Message conditions are seen through a translucent black bezel. The infrared receiver and microphone is also beneath the outer bezel. The touchscreen can be mounted either in Landscape orientation as shown above, or Portrait or vertical as shown below  KT03 with alternate White and Silver bezels are also available, see http://www.comfortforums.com/forum90/2671.html Hundreds of pages can be programmed according to the customers requirements. The Images shown can be selected from standard bmp or jpg files, and the funtion of each button can be programmed. The real time state of the security zones can be shown - Open, closed, Trouble (tamper) or Bypassed for each zone.  The keypad page acts just like a normal keypad, but also showing the exit and entry time countdown, and open zones  Trouble conditions like AC Failure, Low Battery, Zone Trouble, Communications Failure are shown  The KT03 can be programmed to control anything connected to Comfort including third part products like C-Bus, KNX, Dynalite, Zwave, Velbus, Lutron etc with the ability to see the status of the controlled appliances.  The KT03 can be used an an Audio Intercom with the the Door station allowing the user to talk to the visitor at the door and to open the door or gate.
