I'm building a new Comfort system. Currently there are 2 keypads and one PIR in the installation.

Everything seems to be operating normally until I tried to Arm the system and get and error that "Zone Z" is having trouble. I cannot find what "Zone Z" is to troubleshoot the issue.

I suspect that the fact that I don't currently have a Siren and a telephone line attached to system might have something to do with it. If so, how can I go ahead with installation since I'm not able to have Siren and Phone at this phase?

Thanks

Can you do a security check F3,2 which announces all the open zones

If you have no telephone you will hear "PHone Trouble" unless you check "Ignore Line Cut" in Modules and Settings

Not having siren should not cause trouble, but make sure you shunt the SRNTMP header on the Comfort PCB

What firmware are you using?

Thanks for your quick answer.

"Ignore Line Cut" is activated on the config and thought that will be enough to deal with the fact that I don't currently have a Phone Line attached to the system. Is that enough?

SRNTMP has the shunt on it.

Firmware is 5.169 (other system information on the attached image).

I forgot to mention previously that I have also a UCM/Eth attached to the system, but I think that should be irrelevant to this error.

Can you do Security Check F3,2 and hear what are the open zones announced?

I did the test you asked for and I'm not sure on the results :?

I didn't hear anything on that test. The KeyPad just says it will do the Security Test and then nothing else. No zones are listed.

How much time should the test last? I waited for 1 or 2 minutes and nothing came out the Keypad.

Thanks for your help.

The security check announcing nothing means that no zones are open so the zone z is not an open zone which prevents the system from arming
When you press the arm button, you say that zone z is displayed on the keypad. What does the keypad announce at this time?

Press # to force arm the system. does it arm?

Forcing arm doesn't work, same message.

"Falha Armar Segurança"

and then

"Zona Z"

(that will be in English for those not fluent in Portuguese :))

"Failure Arming Security"

"Zone Z"

My main question from the beggining is that I don't have any 'Z' zone configured anywhere. So I thought it should be some kind of "special" zone.

Can you send your cclx for for us to check
Also can you read the event log , save it and send to support@cytech.biz

You should also upgrade the firmware to 5.183, see attachment at http://www.comfortforums.com/forum79/1784.html

The problem may not be a zone called Z, it may be something else which is not shown by the translation

Forçando o braço não funciona mensagem, mesmo.

" Falha Armar Segurança "

e , em seguida,

"Zona Z "
