Has anyone any experience of using the Comfort Door Station Interface DM02 with Panasonic PBX Door Phones (e.g. KX-TES824 / KX TA824)?

If so, the DM02 manual cautions that "Some third party intercoms will not turn on their audio path until their in-house handset is off hook. If DM02 is used with this type of intercom, a means to simulate the handset going off hook and on hook is needed so as to allow the mic and speaker on the intercom to be activated."  It outlines how to do that.

At a guess this might be the case in PBX situations.

Can you advise whether the Panasonic system does or does not turn on the audio path as mentioned in the manual, and if so how you handled the work around?

Thanks in advance.

I doubt if the Panasonic Doorphone is an analog type, ie that it has speaker,  mic, doorbell press signals as separate wires which can be connected to the DM02.

If you have any connection diagrams for this doorphone, send it to support@cytech.biz so we can take a look

I did inquired with Panasonic dealer for a reversed configuration, to use DS01 I already have with Panasonic PBX. Their reply was negative, as Panasonic doorphone card can only work with their own door phone which has two wire (just like a single line telephone). Programming can only be done via the PBX. Maybe a useful clue.

Correct, PBX doorphones generally can be used only with their own PBX

Only Intercom door stations may be used if it is the analog type
