Those who are experiencing problems with the Door Station Intercom volume, please make sure the Comfort firmware is up to date, see http://www.comfortforums.com/forum79/

Older firmware especially before 5.145 had problems with Intercom performance which have been solved

A better and clearer guide to Tuning Parameters for achieving Door station Intercom performance can be downloaded from http://www.cytech.biz/techinfo,html

This document is  attached for convenience

hi its about echo problem

I have done the following :

1) As per the engmanG2.pdf, J53 should shunt across 2 & 3.
and this should be factory setting, however if circle mark is on pin 1, then it was wrongly shunted and i shunted it to away from circle mark ( to 2 & 3 )
2) I have latest firmware, also followed your posting to update tuning parameters by selective write from default template and then read back to my cclx file . However , i still have the echo problem on DS02 and also on KP06 and KP04 when a remote phone is involved.
e.g.
1) when somebody presses the door bell while in AWAY mode , the system calls my mobile and i can hear clearly on my mobile the visitors voice , however the visitor at door station hear too much echo .

2) if somebody calls and comfort answers the call , the voice of caller is on Keypads and it echoes a lot .

The other communications like KP04 with KP06 , HOME PHONE with DS02, KEYPADS with DS02, these are working ok .

thanks

So the problem is with remote phone to Keypad and DS02. The DS02 and KP side is too loud

Howling occurs when the loop gain is too high, This can be phone to DP or DP to Phone

Try reducing the value of Tuning Parameter 87 Remote Phone Line In Gain to KP/DP Intercom default value is 13. Reduce to eg 9 and see if the howling is reduced but voice on DP is still audible

Also there is a hardware adjustment on DS02 speaker, That is normally midway, try to reduce

For audio problem where DS01/DS02 Mic cannot be heard on the keypad but Keypad mic can be heard on the Door station, see
