In Windows 7 and Vista, for Comfigurator 3.2.3 and lower, after using Infrared Utility to learn new IR (infra red) codes there may be instances where the newly learned IR codes are unable to be displayed  under Configuration > IR Transmit Codes in Comfigurator software.

This is because Windows 7 / Vista does not allow writing to folders under 'Program Files' (in which the IR codes files are normally stored) unless the writer has administrator privilege. Instead it uses a feature called "Virtual Store Redirection" to redirect the newly learned files to a folder such as:
C:UsersusernameAppDataLocalVirtualStoreProgram Files...
These files are then visible when you click the "Compatibility Files" button, but are not shown in open file dialogs.

The workaround is to run Explorer as administrator (right-click option), select the compatibility files and copy them into the ifr folder.

The new IR Learner included in Comfigurator 3.2.4 can be used in Windows 7 without any problems, see http://www.comfortforums.com/forum20/2030.html
