I've noticed this a few times - estimating once out of every 5 times
I have a response which is supposed to send an ON command to zwave id#4, and mostly it works - but occaisionally it doesnt - it actually sends an OFF command to zwave id#3
This is shown by the counters (logged in homeseer also) and the zw#3 being turned off. when zw3 is turned off, zw4 is not turned on when it should be.
If i tell the same response to action again, it then works for a few times more.
tia
Im summary
CBUS DLT button press tell Comfort to turn on the plasma via RS232, turns on the amp via CBUS relay, tell the amp to switch IR, and send ZW4-ON to enable the HDMI matrix. ZW3 is not referenced anywhere near these responses (ZW3 is an office printer).

Here's another example - different result this time.
TVPower is the CBUS Button - 255 for on, 0 for off. These are all triggered by this button.
As part of the response, when this cbus button is set to ON, ZWave ID#4 should be turned on, and vice versa.
The first time it triggers ZWave ID#3 off, when we turn if off ZW#5 goes off, then turn it on again, this time ZW#4 goes off (should be on tho) then we turn it off, now ZW#4 goes on (should be off), then the reverse again.
Also, I dont have any triggers for ZW5 yet in the responses.

My guess is that you may be experiencing a RF problem for this one. When the Z-Wave transmission is without an ack from the targeting module, the respective counter will not be updated. You can verify the busy2 led (UCM/Z-Wave) is on if that is the case. So it may be an intermittent problem.
Check the BUSY2 LED when it happens again.

The ZWave UCM and this particular zwave unit are less than a metre apart , in clear line of sight.
Not only that, but sometimes the wrong counter is being changed, not just the wrong value - as in post#2 above.
Checking the Busy LED will be nigh on impossible - how long does that LED stay on after an incorrect command ?

Checking the BUSY2 LED on the UCM/wave is not impossible, actually very easy. The BUSY2 LED stays on until the acknowledgment from the Zwave target device is received, or another Zwave command is sent out. Hence you can just send the command, and if it does not turn on or off the Zwave device, just stroll over to the UCM/Zwave and look at the leds. You do not need two people

Those were not neccesarily problems with the UCM/Zwave.
There were suggestions to follow up to check certain conditions lile the Busy 2 led which would have alllowed us to further advise
What problems are you having?
