Dear All, I would like to control some devices via the comfort. I think that the most reliable way of doing this is via serial commands. Can you you tell me which UCM is required to achive serial communication at runtime please? rgs Brian |

You can use UCM05 for Rs232 interface and UCM/Ethernet for TCP/IP for this purpose. You can use the action Send RS232 to send any arbitrary string to the external device through the UCM for one way control provided the baud rate of the device is 9600, with 8 bits 1 stop bit no parity The Comfort Rs232 protocol can be downloaded from http://www.cytech.biz/Default.aspx?cmd=sQ0OYE9X66w%2b0P%2bAcFsmAI3j73Rwtfrj&fileid=163&dcid=8&pageindex= This allows 3rd party developers to develop software to interface to Comfort two way and allows the external device which can be programmed to send commands and rceive status from Comfort |
