Please advise: on RC01 which buttons are for which Comfort IR code? If there is a list out as for scenes buttons as been attached ?

Also, there would be about 65 differrent IR codes per RC01 units (i.e 48 code for 12 rooms + 16 for scenes + 1 for Panic - except ones for keypad) , then how to ultilise the usage of all max. 128 codes of Comfort IR received code? if we can use 02 RC01 units with differrent settings, if yes, how?

Thanks/ namnp

The Scene buttons send Comfort IR codes, as defined in the RC01 Manual available from http://www.cytech.biz/manuals.html
You can see the Scene IR coes in Comfigurator > IR Receive Codes (see the attached screen shot)
The 16 Scene buttons are mapped to 16 of the 128 Comfort IR Codes

The Room IR codes can be programmed in the Events > Room Responses screen which is dedicate to the Room responses

The csreen shot below shows the Events > Room Responses screen
As you can see the 48 keys can be programmed here for what responses they fire off

Does it mean that: (16 scene keys + 48 room keys) are "physical buttons" on RC01 used to fire a max of Comfort 128 IR codes (and could be combination of IR themselves and others...) ?

Thanks

The 48 room IR codes and 16 scene IR codes correspond to 1 Comfort IR code each
They do not fire off 128 codes or other combinations of IR codes
The 48 ROOM IR codes are outside the normal range of 128 IR codes which is why you do not see them in the IR received codes page

Sorry to come back this again, as for me it is not easy to understand this IR code issue:(. Please tell me if I am wrong on points below:

i) Comfort can use its outputs (with IRM01 module for example) to send any of 128 IR codes (They are fixed Comfort' IR codes); these codes are named as key000 to key127.

ii) Once Comfort received one of these IR codes (via keypad or IRR01 for example) which is name as Code 0 to code 127, they could trigger any programmed responses (called "IR receive codes response").

iii) RC01 scene keys can send 16 of 128 Comfort IR codes (as above been mapped); then it could be used to trigger response (as same as with above called "IR receive codes response").

iV) RC01 room keys can send extra 48 IR codes that can be received by Comfort (via keypad or IRR01...)  to trigger any programmed response (called "Room response").

Thanks

You are correct on ii, iii, and iv

You may have misunderstood in (i)

Comfort normally does not  send the 128 Comfort IR codes from its outputs, these are normally used as received IR codes

Comfort can send any learned IR codes to its outputs to control other equipment like Aircons, TV and other IR-enabled equipment

ii) to iv) are correct.

You need to think about outbound IR and inbound IR completely separately.

Comfort can store IR codes in memory. You either use a prewritten .ifr file (see http://www.cytech.biz) or you teach via the UCM/IR.  These become the sent (outbound) IR codes.  There is room for about 120 sent codes in Ultra (but depends on the code sizes and resolution - see UCM/IR manual)

Comfort could send its own codes but not sure of many requirements (anyone?)

For rooms, the 4 Functions are the top row of buttons on the RC01

So if Comfort is storing a load of IR for a variety of room equipment / features, then one inbound code could trigger several outbound codes (along with other types of output).  So you have Pronto type functionality (but not the amount of storage)

Of course if you need to do lots of IR Macro work then you will probably consider Pronto, Nevo SL, Harmony etc.

I plan to do something with Harmony when I get time. The 525 is pretty neat for the money.

Comfort can send its own codes, this is normally done when you want to learn these codes for a Pronto or other universal remote control, so you can use the remote4 control to control Comfort

Thanks for your all replies.

Please let me know if I am wrong from below:

i) 48 room keys are to trigger 48 Commfort responses via Comfort' RC01.

ii) 16 scene keys are to trigger 16 Commfort responses via Comfort' RC01.

iii) There are about 250 IR codes (with memory location and space) that can be stored in Comfort (depend on CPU version and lenght of IR codes want to store); they are ready to send out via Comfort outputs.

iv) Comfort allow other systems - via their IR emmitter - to trigger 128 responses of Comfort. This will be done by Comfort ' 128 IR "source" codes.

Again thank you:D

You are correct for i) to iii). Note that in point iii) you may have lesser or more IR codes depending on the bytes used.

iv) is not entirely correct. You may also learn the IR codes for the room buttons and their function buttons by simply beaming out the IR from the RC01 and using the other remote to capture it.
