The RIO supports the Pulse Output action only from RIO Firmware 2.0.6
Previous versions of the RIO do NOT support the pulse output action. You can workaround this by using Set Output on and a Timer to set Output OFF. Alternately use Comfort regular outputs or Slave or LEM outputs when you need a pulse output
Those who wish to upgrade their RIO firmware to the latest version can send their RIOs back to the factory in Singapore. There will be a charge for transportation back to the origin for the upgrade.

Chiu,
I have 2pcs of RIO having firmware of V2.04, but recently purchase 2 more pcs with V2.06. For temporary can i use this boards under the same system before i send for upgrade? will it cause problem to the system?
is there a way for end user to upgrade on their own. i don't think it's a good ideal to always ship back for upgrade as it's dealing with cost. Are there any long term solution for this?
Thanks
Tae

You can continue to use RIO 2.04 if you dont need to use the pulse output action which was implemented in 2.06.
RIO functions are limited unlike Comfort or UCMs so the firmware is hardly ever upgraded so there is no provision for field upgrade The RIO always has the functionality described at the time it is sold.
