The APB01 ADSL Pasthrough/Protection Board  fulfills two functions
  1. It allows ADSL signals to bypass Comfort, ie the broadband frequencies go to TEL OUT so that an ADSL m modem can be plugged into any telephone socket in the premises. Without this device, the ADSL modem must be installed before Comfort TEL IN
  2. It provides protection against lignting-induced voltage surges, thus helping to protect Comfort as well as your ADSL modem and telephones from damage. Hence this performs the same function as the TPB01 Telephone protection Board)
The board is in the form of a PCB with fingers that plug into TEL IN and TEL OUT terminal blocks. Another set of TEL IN and TEL OUT terminal blocks on the board allow the Telephone in and telephone out wires to be connected. The picture attached shows the APB01
