OK I've re-run this "u" test with Beta 5.166 today and get the following:

> SR01
< OK
> u?11
< u?110A05B2
> SR01
< OK
> u?12
< u?12000000
> SR01
< OK
> u?13
< u?130A05B2

So you can see my two UCM05's; ID's 1 and 3 report their versions correctly.  My Smartfit UCM (ID 2) reports all zero's; is this because it needs an update to the UCM firmware too to make it report?

How long should I hold my breath for a new version of Smartfit firmware IC (that also fixes my "69" issue);  ie what depth of blue would you like me :D.  I'm thinking the answer is probably "don't hold your breath"!!

When I look at the smartfit UCM isn't it purely the old style UCM base board loaded with a Smartfit firmware and then holding the Smartfit specific microcontroller daughterboard?  If you had a flash version of the UCM firmware wouldn't it be feasible to plug this daughterboard into a newer UCM05 (via the 10 way connector) and use a flash smartfit firmware to make it easier to keep up to date? I'm sure it's not quite that simple but hopefully you get where I'm coming from?
