Hi, Thanks for the reply, I have finally got time to look at this. The Ring door bell takes a constant 24v AC, this is used to keep the batteries charged. My understanding is that when the button is pressed the voltage will drop. Is there any way that the DM02 could detect that? The manual for the DM02 mentions the support for an AC doorbell input but no detail of how that should be connected. I don't want to risk damaging the board.
I have found a small board that could be used but it is not sold in the UK. https://www.elkproducts.com/product-catalog/elk-930-doorbell-and-telephone-ring-detector
Many Thanks
