Comfiguirator 3 should be compatible with Comfort 1 Pro
If you have a cclx file it means the system has been programmed using Comfigurator 3 and you can continue to do so

If your file is .ccl it means it can been programmed in Comfigurator 2 and it may be better to use the same software which you can download from http://www.cytech.biz/comfigurator_v2.html?category_id=98
