Comfort can be programmed to dial to 8 telephone numbers. When it dials to a mobile or landline phone, it waits for a voice answer and announces the alarm type eg "Intruder Alarm", "Power Failure" and where appropriate the zone violated eg "Kitchen window". When you receive the call you can deal with it in two ways; 1 - Press the # key to acknowledge. Comfort will say "Thank You, Goodbye" and hang up. It willl immediately start to dial the other programmed numbers on the list (max 8) 2 - Sign in with your user code by pressing *, followed by your code and the # key. Comfort will go into user menu, and you can then select options to listen on keypads, listen to the event log, disarm or arm the system or control lights and appliances. To end the call, press # to go to the previous menu until you hear "Thank You, goodbye". When you sign in, Comfort will stop dialing to the remaining numbers in the same dialing group. There are two dialing groups in Comfort - the 1st group consisting of Phones 1 and 2 and the 2nd group consisting of the remaining Phones 3 to 8. The 1st dialing group consisting of Phones 1 and 2 may be reseverd for Central Monitoring Stations This is unlike a simple acknowledge (just pressing the # key without signing in) which end the call to your number but system continues dialing to the rest of the dialing group. If you hang up without pressing the # key to acknowledge or signing in (liek most new users who have not read the manual), then Comfort will re-dial your number up to 5 times.
