Thanks for the review. The Comfigurator bug is known and wil be fixed in the next release together with other things You suggested an IP rated unit for outdoors, but access control readers are generally not meant for outdoors. As long as there is shelter there should be sufficient protection If someone tries to remove it or damage it, loss of communications (not Rs485 communications, but communications between the UCM and the reader electronics) is detected as a Tamper You can also register fingers as duress We did consider recording finger reads but in an office environment we were concerned that there would be too many of them causing alarm information to be lost
