The detector can not be connected to the RIO board as this does not support security input, so it is most likely connected to the main controller PCB just below of it.

Do you have a hold of the configuration file?
It can tell exactly which input the detector is connected to.

Regarding the loose wire, does it have a label on it?
If not, contacting the installer may be the better option.
