RS485 fail 82 means ID 52 hex ie IRIO 2
Alarm type 24 mean RS485 comms alarm, not are relatedIt cannot be catastrphpic failure if you are able to read this in the event log?

I had to change the main panel over the other board completely failed in it the only thing that i could use was the epromm but it had latent faults, the 2 RIOs Would not initially connect and all the settings are correct TWO of the 4 SCS are ruined and will not setup up in the system
So When I refer to a catastophic failure list of components down that have to be replaced:
2 X IRIO\'s
2 X SCS6
1 X CM9000-ULT (had one in stock lucky enough!)

Cables tested for resistance and continuity (before you ask)

What happened to cause this multiple fault, was it a lightning strike?

No, I shut the system down to get behind the panel and when it was turned back on it just went haywire, no outputs would function, multiple reported zone failures, (IROs and SCS6 comms failures)even with everything removed and system rebooted failures would not clear. The process of ilimination main panel was had become faulty which seems to have damaged the SCS\'s and the IRIOs

I dont see how the main panel could damage the IRIO and SCSThey are connected by RS485 and 12V only.
Unless there is a big voltage surge to the 4 wires connecting to the SCS and IRIO

There is defitnetly a problem with the RS485 SCS\'s will not connect, problems with the IRIO\'s connecting, I will be changing the slave PCB boards later this week and if this fails then i will have to replace scs\'s and IRIOs as well
ID\'s are correct as we speak cabling has been replaced but scs\'s will not work ect.

Have changed the slave board over but this has had no effect on what is happening with RS485 comms issue have also replaced the wiring on two of the scs switches but they cause a shut down on the system and are unresponive RS485 comms!

There may be a problem wit the RS485 driver on the main panel. Are any Rs485 devices woring eg UCM, Keypads?

Yes UCMs seem to be working fine as does the keypads. SCS6 and IRIOs are not. Is there a way of testing the RS485
Foot note, with the current configuration, the only way to stop comfort reporting RS485 communication error is too remove SCS\'s & RIO01 from the system write to comfort and then re-add them (polling them but not writting modules and settingst to comfort! have now ordered the last of the SCS\'s switches available!
As much I do not want to fit another panel I maybe forced to use another sem to replace RIOs if this is going to be an ongoing problem.
