ST control
#1
[font=\"times new roman\"]I am just toying with an idea and wondered if you have come across anything similar. I am looking at using micro sensor (undecided which ones I will use) on metal railing gates for pathway and drive way which would be direcly connected to comfort zones covering two purposes, firstly to act as a perimeter warning and secondly to control front area lighting. My question is what sequence would you use to send a signal to ST and then in turn that could turn a smart TV on to a hdmi port for the CCTV? PS At present I am asuming that you would use Zone monitioring in ST with a command attached!  However I was wondering if this could be short circuited by having direct control from R-PI (as you maybe aware I am not a great fan of any cloud based systems). You could probably do this without needing to use the R-Pi at all. At my previous house I had used an IR Led to send commands to a TV via an output on the comfort system. I had this mounted in place of the activity LED on a bosch PIR and used the remaining pair of 6 core cable to send the signal to it.

Hi Matt
Already thought of tyhat one but I would rather go with a hidden system and it would mean haveing a transmitter in line or pertruding out of wall ect.
