Maglock on entry/exit door

I wish to install a maglock on my Entry/Exit door. Please advise the hardware required to connect to the comfort panel. I assume that the maglock is 12v? I also require a \'push to exit\' button (240v?) to release the door from the inside.

Please advise how these are wired to the panel.

When the door station or internal telephone is answered, how is the maglock released to allow entry?

Can I add responses/timing to allow automatic locking & unlocking?:?

A Mini Mag Lock will draw up to 0.75 amps
So in order to protect your comfort system use a seperate 1 amp 12dc psu and run the 12v through the door opening relay of the DM02


you can use the time programs in a response to automate the lock

The relay to open maglock can connect in parallel with the push to exit button

If you put maglock in parallel surely it wont work as you still have a closed circuit! the way you have described it the circuit should be in series so either one will open the circuit releasing the maglock.
However I use electronic door bolts which are connected directly to a relay and then they are controlled by two different methods.
1) through use of an app on mobile phone
2) I have connected an RF remote relay to a Zone/input when pressed registers zone activation and commands door lock to release
RF relay is third party and is stuck with double sided adhesive inside panel.
I have to admit the remote is far easier to use than going through phone all the time. A switch can be used directly on the same input as the circuit is configured as normaly open this can also be configured as normally closed but must also be wired in series with relay etc

If the switches are normally closed, then they should be connected in series
If the switches are nornally open then they should be connected in parallel

I agree remote is easier to use, but if you need to open the door for a friend if you are not at home then automation is the only way

Yes I agree that\'s why I have wired my electronic locks so that they are dual controlled. However as I consider it as non secure, I only use it on a porch and a back garden gate with perimeter warnings.
