Audio over Ethernet
#1
Any progress yet on being able to route audio from Comfort over Ethernet such that remote apps (Wizcomfort, mobile apps & ComfortClient!!) can utilise for playback and record.

I remember you were evaluating some potential solutions a while back but gone quiet.

The connecting of the Aud01 is not really practical anymore in the \"networked, access for anywhere\" culture we live in today.

I wonder would it be possible fit the app to hold the audio files and play them based on actions and key presses itself eager than actually routing the audio from comfort to the app ?

I allow that already in my ComfortClient app to some extent though that doesn\'t help with reminders, doorstation comms etc

Perhaps Comfort can send a \'Sound Index\' value back so the local application knows what sound bite to play. It should include some sort of Sync byte to make sure the Local PC app has the same voice file as Comfort otherwise it will play the wong sound on the local PC.

With this said there are the \'other 50%\' of audio that is not static EG the Reminders etc. Perhaps these can be copied from Comfort in a once-off transfer and then stored on the local application. These would then follow the same Sound Index process as above.

The solutions investigated (audio over internet) so far are far too expensive so we are waiting for new new and cheaper technology
Meanwhile there is more than enough to keep the R&D team busy

Regarding the other suggestion about playing voice files on the app;

Do many people actually want to hear the voice on the app?
It seems that with the touchscreen, the voice is not necessary.
except for playing of reminder messages which are not fixed voice
