Double Check Board Layout
#1
Before it goes up on the wall does this look the most efficient layout for the UCMs and the door module?

Also does it matter the order the 485s are daisy chained I have laid it otu as

Comfort > UCM Ethernet  > UCM Universal  > Door Station

Cheers

Stuart

I just had a thought can the DM02 go on the slave unit in the garage which is going to be an awful lot nearer to the gates?

I think it looks ok. You can use cable ties to tie togeher the white Rs485 cables unless they are too short
DM02 can be mounted on the Slave except it needs the Mic and Voice signals which need to be run from Comfort

Thanks - presumably I can just use spair twisted pairs in the cat 5 that is being run to the slave in the garage as I think that only a single pair are needed to run KA and KB from main baord to the slave board.

Or do you think its best for simplicity to keep it on the main board? I woudl prefer ot put it in the garage as I will probably add a GSM into the main board and woudl have no space :-)

You can use the  spare pairs in the CAT5
Putting DM02 in the slave should have not problem It does not really matter whether it is near to the Slave or Comfort as long as it has access to all the ginals it needs

The main panel is now installed and all is working. I dont think I will egt the slave into the garage or attic before Christmas so what shall I do next....

Touchpad by the front door or UCM Universal and integration with Rako....

I must say I have been really impressed so far from the small details such as removable blocks to how it is programmed!
