Comfigurator 3.2.5  now available. Please download from http://www.cytech.biz/comfigurator.html

The changes from 3.2.4 http://www.comfortforums.com/forum20/2025.html are

New Features

  1. Scan Modules - when a module has been removed physically, Scan Modules will remove the module and reduce the numberof the module
  2. Support for UCM/Universal
  3. Action 117 Change Entry Delay in Seconds 0 to 255. A Zone Response with this action will change the entry delay to the specified value from the default entry delay. This allows multiple entry delays to be used for different entrances. The Zone must be an Entry Zone Type. Comfort Firmware 5.205 and abive are required to recognise this action
  4. The KT03 USB Port can be used to write and read from Comfort, just like a UCM. In Options > Settings, choose USB. There may be 2 USB ports detected if a UCM/USB is also available. You must know which one belongs to the UCM and which to KT03. A checkbox "via KT03" can be seen below the USB Serial number, which is to be checked if the USB port belongs to KT03. This allows Comfigutor to write and read using the KT03 USB port

Bug Fixes

  1. KT03 Comfigurator - clicking on Pages causes exception when using Windows 7 or Vista. Writing to KT03 may also cause KT03 to RESET.
  2. The "Scan Modules" Function in the Modules Tab can detect a new module and add to the list but it does not delete a module that has been removed. This problem also exists in older version of Comfigurator.
  3. When the Monitor I/O mode is enabled, and the UCM Connection is changed to some other connection (network, USB or serial), the previous connection is terminated. The previous version left the connection still active. That may cause a problem if the same Comfigurator session is connected to more than 1 Comfort or if there are more than 1 UCM connected to Comfort
  4. "Delete Unrefrenced Responses" did not delete a chain of Responses, eg Response A calls Response B, Response B calls Response C. It only deleted Response B and C.  The new version deletes the whole chain.
  5. When converting a ccl file (Comfigurator 2) for Comfort I  to cclx (Comfigurator 3), the Voice settings values for "Voice Menu Speed" and "Phone Intercom Voice Level" were converted to the wrong values.  This has been fixed.
  6. In Siren Types Screen, right clicking below Siren Type #20 caused an exception
  7. Odd number of digits in Sign in codes do not get written correctly.
  8. Comfort Bus Monitor signed in with fixed code "1234"
  9. KNX Response Wizard for Dim Relative are missing 2 values - Stop Dimming and Dim by 100%. These have been added
  10. When Comfort Optimum File System 31 is converted to Ultra File System 34, the X10 received codes in the converted file consist of House Code A only. Now all House Codes A to P which should be available in FS34 can be seen
  11. Pressing "Execute Responses" button in the right pane of Responses window had a long delay when the R! command is issued.
  12. KT03 Read from EEPROM - Response numbers > 255 were read wrongly
Known Issues

  1. Exception occurs when editing KT03 Configuration using Windows 7 Professional (Other Win7 versions may be affected as well). Clicking on the Pages Tab causes unhandled Exception. Clicking OK causes another exception.
  2. Reading from a Comfort programmed with 3.2.4 may cause an exception after the Read is complete.
  3. When the name of an Alarm Type is changed, the Zone Types which trigger that alarm type still shows the old name until the Alarm Type for that Zone type is selected again.
  4. When a page in KT03 is renamed, the name is not reflected in other items which reference the changed page
  5. IR Transmit codes which have codes numbered near the end of the table ie 250 but which have gaps inn the IR numbers may overflow into the Alarm Types Table causing the Alarm Types to have the wrong information. Please use consecutive IR code numbers without any gaps
  6. Selective write may not be complete - the last line is not written to Comfort. Please use Full Write instead as a workaround. see http://www.comfortforums.com/view_topic.php?id=2197&forum_id=20 for full details
  7. The Alphanumeric Text ID feature does not work on Comfort Optimum UCM/GSM because of an error in the IOMAP.CYM file. Contact Cytech for the correct file
  8. For KT03 and Velbus Configurators, if a Response is referenced and the Response name is changed in the Responses page, the name change is not updated in the respective KT03 and Velbus pages.
  9. Reading a ccl file with Siren Duration < 1 second causes the siren Duration to be 0 resulting in an indefinate siren duration
  10. Reading a ccl file with less than 8  UCM will cause 8 UCMs to appear in the Modules Tab. The Numver of UCMs in Modules and Settings will not be 8. However when you change the name of a UCM or delete a UCM in the Modules tab then the number of UCMs in Modules and Settings will change to the wrong number.
  11. Rs232 connection will not be able to connect  if "Via USB"  was checked in USB connection, then changed to RS232 connection
  12. IR learner checkbox for "old UCM" has not been implemented
  13. In the KT03 Configurator, when zones are selected, then the zone name or properties are changed in Security > Zones, the KT03 affected zone does not track the changes. eg zone 2 is called zone 2 but if you change zone 2 name to something else, in KT03, the zone 2 name and text is not changed
  14. Read Zones from Comfort may change the setting of Virtual Inputs incorrectly. Avoid reading from Comfort and writing back to Comfort for this reason as some normal zones may become Virtual and vice versa
  15. If the Sound Type Name is changed, the Siren Type which points to the sound type is not updated
Note that these bugs were present in older versions of Comfigurator, but not identified before

Conversion from Comfigurator 2 (.ccl) to Comfigurator 3 (.cclx)

  1. After conversion of ccl files (Comfigurator 2) to Comfigurator 3 format .cclx files, please look through the Responses. If any Responses are in RED indicating an error, double click on the Response  to open the Response wizard and click OK. This should remove the error
