Comfigurator 3.1.1 is now available for download from here

This version fixes some issues with UCM/KNX support, and so is the version that must be used with the new UCM/KNX

New Features
  1. General Information saves the date and time of last write to Comfort as well as the Comfigurator version used for writing to Comfort.
  2. Security >Paging screen is removed.
  3. For UCM/GSM, the SMS Numeric ID is found in the Modules Tab > in UCM/GSM Properties when a UCM/GSM is added, instead of Security > Paging > Pager ID. This is the 4 digit numeric identifier which is sent in the SMS message XXXX- alarm Type - Zone Name. It used to share the field with Paging. Paging is not supported in Comfort anymore.
  4. Checkbox in Modules and Settings > "Write User Codes" to enable or disable writing of User codes to Comfort. This is so that installers dont override user codes which may have been changed by the user after the initial installations.
  5. For UCM/Zwave and UCM/KNX , after write reset the UCM only instead of Comfort. However, this feature applies to Comfort firmware > 5.173 (not released yet).
  6. For Items in Selective Write, Comfort is RESET automatically for items that require a reset, so the user does not have to worry about whether a reset is needed. Selective Write also selects Events that are affected by change in Response numbers so that this can be done safely instead of a Full Write to save time.
  7. Baby Monitor (Action 92) allows Door Station to be selected. This applies to Comfort firmware 5.173 or higher (not released yet)
  8. UCM/ACCESS, UCM/GSM and other UCMs are detected as  UCM Type by a scan for UCMs
  9. Reading (Comfort -> PC) from a system which was programmed before the introduction of Sunrise/Sunset Times (ie it has invalid data in those locations) will cause an exception
Bugs Fixed
The following bugs from 3.1.0 are fixed
  1. Telecoms > Answering > Mailbox Phone Assignments were not written to Comfort
  2. In Security > CMS, if the Account Code is less than 6 digits, the leading digits 00 were added. eg 4567 became 004567
  3. In KNX Configurator, Main Groups > 0 were not mapped correctly to Comfort.
  4. In KNX Comfigurator, after Reset to Default, Read from EEPROM resulted in no or little data in the KNX to Comfort Tab.
  5. Installation in Vista did not work if .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 is not installed. The requirement to download .NET Framework 2 SP2 is removed if Vista isd the operating system, as Vista should not have the issue causing exception caused by .NET Framework 2.0
Known Issues
  1. The Infrared Learning Tool included is 1.2.2 and not the current version 1.2.3.  The only difference in the new Infrared learning tool is that it allows 32 COM ports to be specified. Please download from here. Unzip the file and copy to the Comfigurator folder, normally Program FilesCytechComfigurator 3
  2. For UCM/GSM  in the Modules tab, the SMS Numeric ID and SMS Alphanumeric ID is not written to Comfort during a fulll or selective write. Please use Keypad (or Telephone) Program Menu, 3 for Security, 3 for Pager Code to enter the SMS Numeric ID, and # key.
  3. The Dynalite Preset code is reduced by 1 when a ccl file created by Comfigurator 2 is converted to Comfigurator 3 cclx. Dynalite Channels are not translated correctly in Action codes. Fade control cannot be changed from 0
  4. Non-english fonts dont display correctly eg Thai, Chinese
  5. When a new file has been opened (from template), saving the file does not case the save file dialog to be shown. Use Save As.. to save the file
  6. When a cclx file is converted from FS31 to FS34 the Control Menu is blank when written to Comfort. All control groups appear as 0
  7. Scan for UCMs will work only the first time. If you add UCMs and Scan again, the same result as before will be obtained without a new scan being done. Hence save the file and open it again to do a new Scan for UCMs
  8. Selective Write - If any Responses are renumbered due to changes and a selective Write is done, not all events which reference the affected Responses are selected for write. It is best to do a Full Response when you change anyh Responses in order to avoid problems
  9. File System 30 for SPC (this is a special version for Portugal) does not have 8 SCS/RIO Responses.
  10. The Actions "If Keypad = 1 to 8" were not converted correctly to IDs 65 to 72. Similarly Door station IDs 1 to 3 were not converted to 49 to 51
  11. Conversion of file from a file system to another will cause the Misc Events >  Security Mode Response and Away Mode Response be to set to 255 (ie disabled)
  12. IR Receive Responses - if assigned to NULL, will call Response 255 if the IR signal is received. To workaround, do not use Response Number 255

If you are using the standard Comfigurator 3 distribution and select Modules & Settings > Wordlist = Thai Residential you will not see any Thai, because the file Thai.cfg (in Comfigurator3> Config is in English. If you change that file by entering Thai in accordance to the wordlist then you will see Thai in the wordlist

The Thai translation and recordings were done by integrators in Thailand and we dont have the resulting config files.

Were you able to show Thai words in Comfigurator 2? If so you should be able to copy the files to Comfigurator 3. Send an email to support@cytech.biz for more info

A new bug was recently found which affects Reading from an old Comfort system

Reading (Comfort -> PC) from a system which was programmed before the introduction of Sunrise/Sunset Times (ie it has invalid data in those locations) will cause an exception
