Hi have had a doorstation installed for some time now, but was not too worried about getting the internal phones to communicate with the doorphone as basic alarm functionality had priority importance. I would now like to go through the process of getting the the audio right for the doorphone mic and audio.

When the door phone bell is pressed all the phones ring as intended, but the audio from the doorphone mic is not audiable, neither is the audio from the phone that is lifted after the bell is pressed. I have tinkered with several settings that seemed to be associated with the problem, but to no avail. These have been reset to their original values.

How do I get the 2 to communicate?

I also have a problem with the internal phones - I want to completely disconnect the land line - in case of a lightening surge. The phones will not ring after the doorphone button is depressed if their is no dial tone. I have already tried ticking the option where their is no land line. When this option is ticked the internal phones do not ring when the doorphone button is pressed.

Are you sure you have a DP02? The DP02 is not a Cytech product. It is made by another company The housing may not have enough accoustic isolation to prevent the speaker from feeding into the microphone, this causing the system to reduce its volume to prevent howling
Try removing the mic from the DP and temporarily placing it outside the housing
Are you able to hear the audio now? Also what is your Comfort firmware?

For ringing of the phones without a telephone line, do not check "Ignore Line Cut"
Instead set the Nondetector alarm called "Phone Trouble" to Null (nornally Line Cut)
This prevents the Phone Trouble alarm from being activated

The supplier I used based in the UK sent me the doorphone. I think there was some difficulty aquiring the one I wanted as the DP02 perhaps was discontinued. The door phone sent came with this attached drawing.

Is there any way to manually set the volume by software. The older boards used to have a hardware setting option, but that is not included on my board. The phone system I use is DECT - would that be causing a problem?

If there is no audio at all from the door mic and the phone then it is unlikely to be a settings problem

Make sure that you have not mixed up the conection on the DM02 for the mic and cpseaker "to Comfort" and "to Door station". Mic/Voice to Comfort should go to Mic and Voice in Comfort. Some have got this wrong. Also just make sure the screws on the terminal blocks are firm.

I dont know which tuning parameters are in your original file, you should open a new template and write selective only the tuning parameters so that you know that you have a correct set of tuning  paremeters in the system

if the connections and correct and the tuning parameters are correct then there must be a hardware fault
Have you tried contacting the supplier of the micro DP?
