This is a pre-alert about the new firmware 6.020 which will be available soon
Update - ULT 6.020 is released http://www.cytech.biz/comfort_ultra_firmware.html

Bug Fixes
  1. Fixed BUG from 6.011 when sign in "welcome" is not heard  vmenu
Fixed bug upgrade sentence tab by itself did not work
  2. Fixed intermittent problem for Firmware Upgrade by Comfort Bus.
  3. Fix BUG for handling GSM - if ucm ID was formerly GSM but another UCM type replaces it with the same ID in the system, it still tries to dial to GSM.
  4. Fix BUG Scan u? For SEM ID 4 and 5 did not work for 96 zones.
Improvements
  1. UCM  Download Button will first erase the whole U4 eeprom  to improve speed of writing UCM U2 EPROM to Comfort. Needs UCM 6.019
  2. Disabled Siren Tamper alarm so shunt J4 SRNTMP has no effect. This alarm is not usually used and causes problems with the J4 shunt drops off.
  3. Improved Read/Write operations to U4 EEPROM whuch caused system to hang when read operations were interrupted
  4. Prevent Eeprom error at reset causing system to hang and escape Watchdog timer reset.
  5. Implemented Timer Runaway protection for Controller.
  6. Removed Adjust Daylight Saving Time Action 98 - not needed after Automatic daylight saving time change was implemented .
New Features
  1. Implemented Daily Time Adjustment  location in seconds (Modules and Settings). Daily adjustment at 4 AM.
  2. New action Code Enable/Disable 152, user number 2-16, 1 for enable, 0 for disable, 2 for check. Save state when reset or system off. User 1 cannot be disabled. If eeprom location has user 1 disabled then all are enabled because this location may be set wrongly in eeprom before.
  3. Action 9 allows push button to be used to ring phones and keypad . If NO DPs then doorbell menu exits after say goodbye. When door station rings phones and  entry door is opened,  this automatically stops ringer without using action 26.
Known Bugs
  1. Assigning Output to Security > Status LED will cause KP Home/Armed LED to show the wrong status (from 5.220)
  2. Scheduled Reminder Messages do not work at the correct time (from 5.173)
  3. Reminder Enable function does not work for Reminder Numbers 9 to 16. Reminder Enables for 9 to 16 are the same as Reminder 1 to 8. This affects Scheduled Reminders only.
Importance

Important - for prevention of Comfort system hang due to system reset interrupting eeprom read/write

The new firmware ULT 6.020 has been released
Please download upgrade file from http://www.cytech.biz/comfort_ultra_firmware.html

As usual please note that new Comfort systems ordered may not have the new firmware due to the supply line. You can upgrade the firmware using UCM 6.xxx by following the instructions at http://www.comfortforums.com/forum92/2409.html

Hi,

I have just upgraded my comfort to this new version. After the upgrade the Home light on the keypad did not come on. Prior to the upgrade it was coming on.

I did arm. the Armed led did come on. I disarmed. The Armed led went off, but the Home (Off) led did not come on.

Your help will be appreciated.

Many thanks,
Clinton.

Which keypad do you have, KP05., KP06 etc?
Is this repeatable?
If you arm again and disarm, the security off light still does not come on?

It is a KP04 keypad. I have tried arming and disarming and multiple reboots and reuploading the configuration, but none of these has worked. The home / off led has not come back on since the firmware upgrade.

Thanks.

ULT 6.020 should not have this problem
Could you power off and on the Keypad? All the LEDs should blink momentarily
We suspect that the OFF LED may be faulty

Hi,

I powered the keypad off and on. All the lights did blink momentarily. Hence the Off LED is not faulty.
I tried resetting the system again, but the Off LED is stil not coming on.

Please assist.
Clinton.

Can you confirm if this is due to the firmware by downlgrading to the 6.011 attached?

Hi,

I downgraded to 6.011, but the Off LED is still not working.

I also tried upgrading to 6.020 again, but still not working.

Clinton.

It is probably a faulty Keypad
Do you have another one to compare in the same system?

I have a new KP06 I have been planning to deploy for a while.
Should I try that?

Hi,

I have deployed the new KP06 and the Off LED is working.
However, the keypad has no sound. If I increase the volume to 99 and listen very closely I can hear the voice very softly. The voice is also muffled.

Please assist.
Clinton

PS: I tried resetting the system and the keypad, and I upgraded the keypad firmware from 6.001 to 6.003. None of these had any impact.

Hi,

The sound problem panned to be a wiring issue. I had connected the voice to mic and visa versa on the new key.

That said, as much as the home/off LED is coming on, it now never goes off. So when I arm the system both the home/off and armed LEDs are on.

Assistance would be appreciated.

You mean with the KP04, the OFF LED never turns on, and with KP06 the OFF led is permanently on, and this is the same Comfort?
