Vocabulary- Kate29 is supplied with production boards although firmware although kate28 can be used. If kate29 vocab is used, the Firmware announcement will be "Degree 5.164" instead of "Week 5.164). the kate29 vocab can be downloaded from here.
New Features- Reply to u? Query is FFFFFF if the ID is not present or bad
- Ignore output 255 to prevent OP 0 from on/off broadcast
- In keypad Menu 5 for intercom ie baby monitor mode if alert or alarm occurs, it will announce and exit saying "Thank you goodbye"
- Always add terminator FF to an IR transmit code in case the IR code does not have one (eg manually created)
- Implemented measures to prevent lost voice at reset or power on/off reported by some users
- Increased rs485 transmit buffer queue further to 480 bytes to cater for more messages
- IR transmission added gap 200 ms at the end of every signal so that if two signals are sent from same output, there wil be a gap betwen them
- Output x10 output buffer queue increased from 32 to 48 events to minimise risk of overflow
Bug Fixes- Fixed Bug week 53 gives wrong sunrise/sunset times
- Fixed Bug when phone is used to answer doorphone 1st time, doorphone cannot be heard.
- Fixed problem with modified OP1 (added 10nf capacitor filter) where output 1 of slave will go on and off of any other output on the slave goes on and off
- Fixed BUG Zone 64 on slave did not work
- Fixed bug Tuning parameter Keypad Record Mic Gain parameter 51 (location 107) has no effect.
Known Bugs- f Modules & Settings > Show alarms is disabled, Door station chime is not heard
- CMS phone type was allowed to be entered in Phones 3 to 8
- Z? Cannot work for LEM03
- If LCD sector is not found in voice flash, endless loop green led does not blink, and there is no Rs485 communications.
- Keypad Volume Level Slider (Loc 54) has no effect on keypad announcement
- Clear Answ Machine Bypass (Program menu 1,0,0) also clears Call Screening of calls on Keypad 1
- When GSM is accessing comfort, local phone offhook will cause line cut detect and cut off call
- Wrong Daylight saving Time change if last day of DST change is < 31st of month
- In Dial out to fixed line phones (not mobile), if no DTMF, continuous or Busy tone is detected by Comfort then the call may not end.
- GSM incoming call is not answered when an alarm is repeatedly announcing zones on the keypad
- Action 88 Do alarm User is not recorded into event log
- Play Reminder Message on any Door Station will play on all Keypads and Door Stations
- When Keypad to Door Station Intercom is interrupted by an announcement, the menu "Press 0 for Door Station" is heard on the Door station as well as the keypad
- Remote recording of Reminder messages are also heard on the Keypad #1 like a recorded message from a caller for the answering machine
- LEM03 zone 17 to 24 names are not displayed on KP04.
- Action 88 Do alarm User is nnot recorded into event log
- LEM03 zones 17 to 24 words are not sent to KP04
- Dial to CMS for Portugal times out because handshake takes more than 15 seconds
- UCM DA Do Action 200 Open Door causes Reset
Upgrading Firmware
Note that systems purchased may not have the most recent firmware instaled due to the supply chain. The firmware .cbf file can be downloaded from here Firmware can be upgraded using UCM05 and Comfigurator. Instructions for upgrading Comfort II firmware can be found in the UCM Manual
if you are upgrading the firmware from an earlier firmware < 5.145, the initial keypad volume may be soft. Enter your code to go into User Menu and press 7 for Volume and enter the value of 50# to set the volume
The Vocabulary should be version 28 at least. Get Kate29.bin from here
