Hi - My alarm has just said tamper alarm slave 3 - when it calls me it says tamper alarm 35.

What does 35 mean?  Can't find what 35 is anywhere.

The only things linked to the slave 3 tamper circuit are the CPU two tamper switches and the bell box.

I have made sure both tamper switches in the CPU are closed and there's no reason I can see why the tamper switch in the bell box has suddenly stopped working.

Any ideas what this issue could be? Is it a known issue?

Kind regards

Comfort Geek

Slave 3 tamper is the tamper input on the SEMID 33 is SEM1ID 34 is SEM 2ID 35 is SEM 3 etc
So the message is definately due to opening of the tamper input on SEM3
It does not mean the tamper switch has stopped woiking, it could be the wiring has a problem or the switch contact is poor

To isolate the problem, short the tamper input on SEM 3 and see if this tamper happens anymore
Also after removng the tamper terminal block from the SEM measure the resistance between the tamper contacts - it should be infinity

I'm still having this issue. The tamper on my 2 bell boxes is attached to the tamper loop on SEM3 so does the tamper 35 mean the problem could be with the SEM tamper switch in the enclosure or the tamper switches in either bell box?

I get the issues at various times

1. Just out of the blue randomly
2. When I upload changes from configurator and the system resets, I get the tamper on slave 3
3. The fire alarm went off the other day and then system went into slave 3 tamper

So trying to work out if issue is with Sem tamper switch or bell box tamper switches

Could it be having two bell boxes, wiring is therefore long and voltage drop?

Thanks
cg

If the bellbiox tamper switches are bin series with the SEM3 box tanpwer then it is not possible to tell which is causing the alarm
Unlikely to be a voltage drop issue uinless the wiring had deteriorated and the resistance is vetry high ie kilo ohms
Measure the resistance  of the tamper circuit at the SEM #3
If less than few hundred ohms it should not be a problem but the conenction imay be intermitent
