This seems to happen more with Vista OS where the DS Manager software is not able to detect the UCM/Ethernet on the network- Check that the firewall does not block the address. Disable the firewall to verify if this is a problem
- You should upgrade the OS to Service Pack as this fixes many problems wiith compatibilty
- Check if you have more than 1 network adaptors on your PC. If so DS Manager may have difficulty selecting the correct one to use. On your computer, Go to Control Panel > System > Device Manager (this is for XP, Vista may be a bit different), look for network adaptors, If you have more than 1 network adaptor, disable the others (right click and disable) and try DS Manager again. A customer was using VMwave which installed virtual network adaptors and had the same problem as you
- The DS Manager should be upgraded to the latest version, currently 5.7.11, available from http://tibbo.com/downloads/soi/tdst.html
