Hi

After arming my alarm system, it starts a beep on the keypad continuosly. It doesn't matter the type of the arming alarm (away, night or day mode).

I've read something on the manual about this, and it refers to something about a phone. On this project I don't have any kind of phone connection.

I've alredy changed the "configuration flags" of the "modules and settings" configurator software.

Is there any way to fix this?

Thanks

Avelino Canha

There are different kinds of beeps on the system
How do the beeps sound, are they continuous fast beeps? What ius announced on the keypads and shown on the LCD?
Did you manage to complete the arming?

Which part of the manual are you referring to?

Hi

The manual that I refered was the engmanG2.pdf. There is a chapter at page 46 that mentions the beep on the keypad.

It's a slow beep and it only happens when I arm the alarm. On the LCD of the keypad doesn't show anything anormal.

I removed all flags of the keypad form the "siren types">"security type settings" and it still beeps.

I've downloaded a new project and it doesn't happen.

Probably it's something I've changed, but I haven't found it.

Page 46 says
Keypad Beeps continuously
If a Keypad is beeping continuously, it means that it has not received any RS485
communications on the KA/KB lines for the last 6 seconds. The beeps will continue
until any key is pressed or if communication resumes.

This is a fast beep so I still cannot understand  what slow beep you  refer to

If you need to use the old file, send it to support@cytech.biz with an exact description of what you hear and when

Hi ident

I don't understand either.

I've refered the manual because I've thought that the beeps could be caused by something about the communications on the KA/KB lines.

But, I think that it's not the same problem that is refered in the manual, because it only beeps after the arming.

When I said "I've downloaded a new project and it doesn't happen.", I meant to say that I've downloaded a "virgin" project from the configurator.

You can try programming again and see which causes it then
