Hi everyone,

I am using Comfort Ult, Pc900 firme ware version 5164 .

I am connecting Comfort PCb, KP03, DP03 and UCM05.

When i am testing the system function on our test pinch using 8 external Relays with 55mA coil consumtion the system disconnect relays after 1 min.

Even with 7 relays , when i trigger only 6 relay the system work fine.

I calculate system self current consumtion , i found that it 396mA at maximum which leave 600 mA to use but the system can not support 440 mA (8 Relay *55 mA)

So please advirse me with your comment

Comfort supplies 1A overall but total OUTPUTs only is limited to 300 mA. This is to protect the output drivers Thereis a resettable fuse which opens when the current is too high >300 mA

What are your relays connected to?
Our RLY01 uses low current relays about 40 mA only
Still you should separate the relays to LEMs or SEMs when possibl

Do you really need tro have 8 relays? What is the application?

Let me clarify this
if i have an Ultra-PCB with LEM-01
dose the currtnt limit to each outputs is 300mA each (600mAboth) or 300mA for both.
thanks

The current limit is 300 mA for all 8 outputs in the main board and another 300mA  for the LEM01. The total current from Comfort is limited to 1A

The same limits apply to Slave and its LEM01

If you need more output drive you can use a Slave

By the way, how to measure the all 8 output on the Comfort main board, Slave, LEM & RIO? Is there a test point that I can probe using multimeter to measure the total current limit on those output mention?

The RIO current limit for 8 outputs is 500mA higher then Comfort, Slave & LEM 200mA, right? so it’s still ideal a good to connect 8pcs TWS02 (44mA) in a single RIO01 as it will only utilizing current limit at only 352mA? Correct me if i'm wrong.

You cannot measure current by probing a test point. The multimeter must be in series with the circuit where you are measuring the current
Otherwise check the manufacturer specs for the devicfes eg PIR relays for current at 12V and add together

The RIO outputs are also limited to 300 mA as the output circuit is identical to Comfort and LEM The error in the RIO manual was due to an error  and has now been corrected in RIO Manual 1.1.2 on the website
