Delete the Greeting message
On the keypad, enter your code to sign in, press 9 for Program menu, 1 for answering machine, 5 to erase greeting message
This is shown in the Comfort User Manual http://www.cytech.biz/user_manual.html
When there is no greeting message, Comfort answers the phone and says "Please sign in" instead of playing the greeting message.
If you do not want Comfort to answer the call, set the Number of Rings to a large number eg 99. This menu is reached by 9 for Program menu, 1 for answering machine, 1 for Number of rings

Thanks. I increased the number of rings, but thought there would have been an option for the user to enable or disable the answering machine

It depends on what you mean by Disabling the answering machine
- If you do not want Comfort to answer the incoming calls, set the number of rings to 99. This means you will not be able to call in to control your system
- If you do not want callers to leave messages then delete the Greeting message. Comfort will answer callles aftre the programmed number of rings and say "Please sign in"
