every once in a while the following problems with the KT03 Touchscreen Keypad (firmware 2.013) occur:
when entering the sign-in code on the "Keypad" page, after pressing a key on the keypad the key blinks black once, but the KT03 speaker does not beep.
when entering the sign-in code on the "Keypad" page, after pressing a key once on the keypad the key blinks black twice and the KT03 speaker beeps twice.
when entering the sign-in code on the "Keypad" page, after pressing a key on the keypad, the pressed key does not blink black, but rather a different key on the keypad followed by a KT03 speaker beep.
on the "Setup" pre-page, after entering the sign-in code, the KT03 keypad does not enter the "Setup" page, although the signing-in was done properly (every pressed key beeped once). After that the user has to enter the sign-in code again until the KT03 keypad accepts it.
on the main page, after pressing an icon, the KT03 keypad enters a different page, for instance, after pressing the "Panic" icon, the KT03 keypad enters the "Zones" page or the "Control" page, etc.
The problems described above (1,2 and 3) result in an input of an invalid sign-in code (the KT03 device beeps after entering an invalid sign-in code). After that the user has to enter the sign-in code again until the KT03 keypad accepts it.
These problems seem to be related to the calibration of the KT03 device. We performed a touch screen calibration on the "Setup/CALIBRATE" page with a sharp object. The calibration went fine, judging by the feedback of the device ("OK").
These problems do not occur very often, but they do occur.
We are using Comfigurator 22.214.171.124
The bar code on the KT03 device is: C033113
We found a possible cause of pressing the wrong button
In the default home page there are no visible borders around the buttons but the buttons are actually close to overlapping as you can see from the screenshot. The red line is the border around Control which you can see is very close to the Panic button below
Hence if you touch the bottom of the Control button, it may overlap with the Panic button and may activate Panic Instead
The solution is to show a border or to reduce the size of the button to avoid overlap
