Hi I hope someone can help.
This weekend I decided to re-install my comfort system in a slightly modified location ready to have some building work done at home. To do this I had to remove the whole system and then re-build it. I made notes of where everything went before I started, but even so I guess I made a mistake with the connections because now it won't work.
What happens is that after turning the system on, it beeps indoors and the green light flashes. Then the keypads read 'wrong txt, press * and 0'. But when I try pressing the * and 0 (together) it says 'Download ABORTED' straight away. And the whole system then just freezes with the bottom left green light on the keypad on (as normal).
I have looked at the keypad wiring over and over again and I can't see anything wrong. Likewise all the other wiring.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to work out what has happened, please? System details are below.
Graham
SYSTEM:
Comfort Ultra 5.115 flash
+SEP/expansion modules [32 zones total]
+KP04 x 3
+RIO x4
+UCM with ethernet
+UCM for fermax station
+Cequira alarm box
All of this was working fine a couple of days back!
I can't get through to comfort using the UCM/ethernet, it just says 'No response frm UCM', although I can see the UCM using DS manager without problems.

Additional information
I should have written that the keypad asks for * and 1 (not * and 0, of course).
To try and investigate a bit further I disconnected all my inputs and the SEP, RIOs and UCMs and just left one keypad connected to my main board. Now when I turn it on, the message is slightly different.
What hapens is the keypad lists various zones (too quick to read properly) then starts beeping as it gives various zone names with the word 'trouble' and then it reads 'Keypad V03 Incompatible'. The actual keypad was purchased as KP04 and has always worked fine. On the back it says KP103 and the serial number is K028849.
On the Comfort main board, the red light is off and the green light is steady flashing.
On the UCM board (when I connect it up) the LEDs for signal to/from comfort are flashing fast and the LEDs on the ethernet module signify 'connection closed'.
Thanks

Thanks to anyone who took the time to read my earlier post.
The answer turned out to be that the volcabulary/text files in comfort had somehow got corrupted [could this have happened due to physical movement of the board?]
I tried uploading from comfort to my PC (which worked), then even though I couldn't read anything meaningful from my keypad I downloaded first the configurator file and then the voice file (Kate). These were the exact same files that I had downloaded previously and which had been working unchanged for months.
Then when I turned the system on, it worked again. Exactly as it did before I moved it!
Graham.

Perhaps a wrong connection to the Comfort PCB caused the voice to be lost. Anyway I am glad that it is up now
