I currently have a regular audio door station, but this tech is moving so fast, the wife would like the functionality of a Nest Doorbell https://nest.com/doorbell/nest-hello/overview/ with video etc.

Has anyone switched their door station for one of these? I presume you can lose the electrical feeds but lose the audio integration?

hat looks like it is a stand-alone product?
How would it integrate with other products?

Thanks for the response Chui.

It's not standalone, it integrates into the closed Nest ecosystem (Google) of cameras, smoke alarms, thermostats etc. https://nest.com/uk/

I have most things integrated through Comfort although the UI side is now moving so fast, products like Nest provide an extremely slick user experience.

I was wondering if it were possible to integrate a Nest doorbell into Comfort by using the bell wires. The integration would be that Comfort would know the bell had been pressed allowing responses to be triggered etc. but the camera audio side would be handled by Nest. Probably over-complicating things and Nest looks to be a completely closed system.

The Doorbell response can send a message via UCM/Ethernet, but it depends on whether the Nest accepts any external messages. if it is closed then that would not be possible
