Comfig 2.1.4 - Ok just looked at this feature .......... having trouble seeing how to implement it though.
I have a customer with a light sensor - the sensor triggers a number of 'immediate' responses such as opening curtains etc. On several occasions in cloudy conditions the curtains open then close etc - I can get around this with some clever programming BUT wondered if i can trigger the blinds from the seun rise sun set times??
I managed to acheive this with just the light sensor, which I have placed inside an outdoor Pir. The fact that it is behind the transclucent screen of the pir and pointing away from any direct light source of light has made it 100% reliable. If you can find a location like this in your setup, you should be ok.
If I was to do sunrise sunset timings, then I think I would have a computer transmit x10 codes to comfort at sunrise sunset. However I prefer to have everything comfort based, and across two systems.
The sunrise/sunset times will be a feature in an upcoming firmware
What it does is to set a NIGHT flag if the time is between sunset and sunrise, and clear the flag for daytime hours
There is a If NIGHT condition to test this flag in a Response, so it allows a Response to know if it is night or day
