Hi

My comfort system is about 7 years old. In the past I used configurator to configure. But I've forgotten what version etc.

So - what version of configurator so I need and do I need to upgrade my comfort ?

I have the original license key and it seems to work in v1.6.10 (the interface looks like the version I used to use).

Thanks

Bill

You should be able to use Comfigurator 3 for your Comfort I system. However this software has had limited testing in Comfort I
You can also continue to use 1.6 if that suits you. The later versions of Comfigurator do not require a licence
If you intend to continue to make changes in programming, perhaps you should consider upgrading to Comfort I, see http://www.comfortforums.com/forum25/1403.html for the upgrade package announcement which shows the improvements over Comfort I

Thanks

When I start v1.6 it shows a drop down asking which file format I want to use (Pro/Ultra etc.) What should I choose to work with my Gen 1 comfort ?

Also - I've mislaid my old ccl(?) files, can I load it from comfort (I seem to recall this wasn't practical as I'd lose all the zone names etc.)

Thanks again.

Bill

Check your main board's U1 IC.  If it is "Outside" version, then use Pro.  If it is "Action" version, then use Ultra.

Yes.  You are right about losing the names.

Hi

How do I check "outside" etc. - I'm not an installer just a user, I've made some changes on the panel before so If you can tell me what to look for that would be great.

Can I check this using the original ccl file (I found it :) ). When I open it I get an error "Invalid Keyword - UseBranhActions specified"

So I assume I'll be OK once I set configurator to the right value for Pro/Ultra ?

Also - to use the old ccl file I have, do I need to do anything with the file version (I see an option in the file menu). I assume my older file with v1.6 will be fine ?

You probably have Comfort I Pro . The label on the U1 IC should be "O4.xxx" where xxx is the revision The bottom right of your status bar should show File System 18
You dont need to make any changes to the ccl file
If you have problem using 1.6 then try 2.23
