Dear All,

It's been 4 months since the last release, so I am especially pleased to announce the release of version 3.2.1.42 of ComfortClient and new versions of the plugins:

    * Modbus: 4.1.1.5
    * WorldWeather: 2.1.1.2
    * DataMonitor: 2.1.1.2
New features are at http://www.comfortforums.com/forum65/3455.html

Download links at http://www.comfortforums.com/forum65/1948.html or my website http://www.futurehomesoftware.com/downloads.html or advertised within the ComfortClient updater.

A huge on-going thanks to Ingo for supporting and working alongside me throughout this release, helping me with testing and design guidance, and for (generally) keeping me sane ('ish)!.

Also a big thanks to Clinton (cgiltrow) and to the folks at Cytech for your support.

So some points to remember:

    * This is now a .NET 4.5 app so remember to install this first if you are not already on this version as the installers will check. This also means you need to be on a supported Operating system for .NET 4.5 i.e. Win 7 onwards.

    * The installation now migrates your data files to the "programdata" folder instead of placing (bad practice now) in the program directory. Remember to unhide this folder if you cant see in Windows Explorer. You can also move the data files to a location of your choice via the file settings page in ComfortClient.

    * I would advise you open and re-save each of your floorplans BEFORE upgrading if you have not already done so; I have now removed some of the older legacy code (now bloating the load!) that catered for very old versions of the floorplan XML files. If you are on a very old version of ComfortClient then you should upgrade via version 3.1.8.1/2 as an intermediate step before proceeding to this release (https://www.futurehomesoftware.com/releases/previous/ComfortClient-Setup-3.1.8.2.exe.
    * For those observant of you that use the WorldWeather plugin you will have probably received an email from them recently announcing that access to their old url will end on 31st August; it did! This plugin uses the new api url but remember you have to go onto their site again to re-register for a new key. The url is also in the config file now so if they change it in future you can easily override.
Remember too that it is always good to backup your config/floorplans etc anyway before you upgrade.

Oh and do remember to update the poll at http://www.comfortforums.com/forum65/2258.html if you have experienced ComfortClient; good or bad as I am keen to get rough numbers of who are using the product. This will help guide me in future development effort.

I hope you enjoy.

Regards

Julian

Hi Ian,
Which link are you trying to download from?
I just tried one and it seems to be ok.

aha that explains it.
Use HTTPS instead of HTTP.
I changed all the download links on the download page (http://www.comfortforums.com/forum65/1948.html) but obviously missed some of the embedded ones in some of the other posts; in fact I didn't even think to check these!  :0)
I don't allow HTTP to my site server anymore since I applied a Comodo Web Server certificate (so you could verify my sites authenticity).
Regards
Julian

Can I assume you've all managed to download OK now?
Remember to complete my poll if you are using or have tried ie http://www.comfortforums.com/forum65/2258.html
