We have just confirmed that there is a problem with using the ACT remote controller ZTH200 with the UCM/Zwave3 which acts as a bridge controller
When this remote is used as primary controller with UCM/Zwave3 for adding Virtual Nodes and subsequently updating the network and there are many Z-Wave nodes nodes in the network, there is a good chance that the update process may fail and in doing so reset to Default the UCM/Zwave configuration.
Subsequent Learning will cause duplicate nodes to be added to UCM/Zwave
This problem is actually due to an issue with the Zwave Library's handing of Bridge Controllers (by Z-Wave). The problem may actually occur in a lesser extent in other manufacturers but we have found that it is particularly serious for the ACT model. Other remote controls like MK Astral will only have this problem if the Primary controller is moved out of range while updating the network whereas the ACT remote control will exhibit the problem when it is within range during the update
We are working on a way to get around this problem.
It is recommended that the ACT ZTH200 should NOT be used with UCM/Zwave3. Please note that the ACT ZTH200 should work fine as a standalone Z-Wave network without Comfort
Any other Z-Wave primary controller can be used even with a Z-wave network with ACT HomePro zwave modules, as Z-wave products are all interoperable
