Adding devices to system after UCM/Zwave3 has replicated primary controller

The UCM Zwave manual states that we should "ensure our z-wave network is already set up and functioning correctly". Thereafter it guides us through how we replicate the network from the primary controller to the comfort ucm controller.

What is the procedure if, following replication to comfort, and the creation of virtual nodes and associations, we need to copy additional "real" devices newly added to the primary controller. In particular, can the procedure involved preserve previously created virtual nodes and associations, and any responses in which they are incorporated?
