Hi All,

As an extension to the Danfoss post, I was also thinking with a lot of the e-home / homeseeres products they can take info from the z-wave network to turn items on and off. So I was thinking if Comfort could do this it would be fantastic.

For example, if it 10 am and  everyone is at work, the house (system) detects it is using x amount of amps the system could start switching items off to reduce energy bills. There would need to be more detail around how this works, but you could have a none essential list and items that where included in the list would be the first to be switched off.

I realise this could work by sending out a z-wave off command to all units when away mode is set, however it might also help if the house was occupied and the TV in the bedroom is in standby but everyone is downstairs.

Hope this makes sense.

Cheers

Lee

Our new 2 way Zwave firmware will be ready for testing soon
This will allow Zwave to send commands to Comfort as well as report status without polling. Also sensors can be reported to Comfort and assigned to counters, sensors and Virtual Inputs. Let us know if you would like to test

Not specifically related but I have created a plugin for ComfortClient that works with the CurrentCost energy monitors in the UK. It's purely created as a sample plugin at the moment but because I use CurrentCost then I'll probably develop it further. It interfaces with floorplans etc so you can use values on labels, gauges etc. I need to add some graphing features though once I've completed dev on the ComfortClient release.
