We have a site with a landline and a UCM/GSM for backup.

The landline is completely functional and tested, for incoming and outgoing calls, there are absolutely no problems whatsoever.

The landline is lead into the house by a copper twisted pair, through an ADSL splitter. After the splitter, the ADSL router is connected to its RJ12 jack, and the phone line is connected to the other one, and then directly to the Comfort panel.

When dialling out, the panel dials out through the landline about once every 5-6 times, and the rest are dialled out through GSM.

We have tried to connect directly to the landline, without the splitter and the ADSL router. No difference.

We have tried with or without a phone connected to the panel. No difference.

We have tried dialling into the Comfort through the landline, it works perfectly.

There is no difference whether it's dialling out to CMS or voice.

We have tried enabling "Ignore Line Cut" setting. No difference.

Wait for dialtone is disabled by default (no continuous dialtone with this phone company).

Is it maybe something to do with landline voltage? How do we know if we have some occasional (non-permanent) phone trouble? Is there some tunable parameters we could try? Something else?

Thanks!

We confirmed that this appears to be a bug from Comfort firmware 5.210

It causes the system to dial out by GSM if there is no dial tone and the setting "Wait for Dial tone" is off or disabled. The system should attempt to dial by the phone line

We will fix this in the next version of firmware
Thanks for the feedback

OK, thanks. When do you expect this could be? I'm asking because we need to know what to tell the client.

We can send you the firmware to verify that the problem has been fixed later in the week

It seems as a duplicate of http://comfortforums.com/forum70/2969.html - When I removed the GSM module from Comfort's config , dialing via the landline worked fine. I'm flashing the 7.005 firmware now and will let you know of my results.

Many thanks for the fix!
