This is a tentative enquiry to see what interest there would be out there for Comfort integration with the Opus Multi-room system. http://www.opus.eu
As you may know Opus have a well specced and priced touchscreen that goes for around £450 retail.
They also have a large number of existing integrations and the Trade Partner Catalogue 2009 lists nearly 30. This includes Clipsal; EIB/KNX; Rako; Lutron
To develop an interface Opus need to see a demand.
If you have a genuine interest please reply to this topic typically with a minimum of:
Existing Opus installer Y/N
Conservative number of installs per annum where Comfort integration would be applicable.
If not an Opus installer indicate if you would be interested in Opus as a result of a Comfort integration being in place.
If required would you contribute a nominal amount to have the integration expedited? Say £50?

Further to my message just now.
Note that the Opus Master Control Unit (MCU500) has:
Page Inputs - with dedicated volume control for integrating PA and paging systems
Alarm Input with dedicated volume control for integration with intruder and fire alarms etc.
Mute input for integration with telephone system or doorbell etc.
Getting more interesting ?

Nige,
As you know we would like to see this.
We already have installations using the mute and alarm inputs.
In addition thier new touch screen which is in the pipeline is supposed to support audio and we have the added element of a screen for CCTV/door entry which is another part where we see Comfort having a part to play.
Another angle with Opus is that Comfort could act as a bridge to other technologies.
I think if it is only pitched to Opus as a security system they would say why would I want a keypad on each screen. If it was pitched as a home automation gateway offering door entry control etc. that might be a better approach.
Finally Opus is big in the Middle East and I think Comfort is busy out there too, perhaps demand needs to be created out there.

I've dropped this as a priority to pursue at the moment but feel free to comment.
It has been pointed out that the Opus Touch screens have max 8 buttons on a page at the moment.
