Using UCM access 5.204 The fingerprint reading is a bit unreliable but the main problem is that responses don't run. I'm not convinced that the FP reader is talking to the UCM.
I seem to remember from a previous install that the tiny DIP switches on the SOHO control unit could give a problem.

Hey Bernard
I seem to remember that when the finger is recognised as belonging to a user, it reports LRnn where nn is the user number
You can open View> I/O Monitor on Comfigurator and login
The LR reports should be seen if I am not mistaken. Maybe you can verify that
This will help to identify what the problem is, if the finger is recognised or if Comfort is getting the user code
If the user code is received, then I think it must trigger the Response

No sign of any activity when a fingerprint is recognised. Don't know if it will help but D5 on the secondary board is not doing anything. The main UCM is recognised and gives a communication error when removed.

D5 on secondary board? UCM/Access or you are referring to something else?

I cannot find d5 on the ucm/access are you sure it is marked D5?
The D11 green led should blink if there is any data from the reader
If it does not, it may have a fault if the finger is accepted

Thanks. D5 is on the small board (PC01- 075A) which is mounted on the UCM board. I've not seen this in previous versions but it was supplied by RSL Steeper. I have replaced the UCM access with an older version which is working OK. I will get them to return the unit as it will not read fingerprints most of the time. i.e. no green or red light after a finger is placed on the reader.
