Have a Comfort System utlising: Panel (8001/E); RGR03; KP02; KP03-WI; DP01.

I am intersted in adding the access functionality for arm/disarm for the system utilsing a rfid reader and keyfobs.

My question is, whether the UCM/ACCESS module is supported by the comfort 1. Also, the reader as advertised at Cytech.biz (Axeze) doesn't seem to be available in the UK. Has anyone managed to add this type of functionality to a comfort 1 system?

Any info appreciated?

The UCM/Access may not be compatible to Comfort I

We do not sell the Axeze and Fingerprint reader in the UK anyway

Thanks ident.

I had a look at the Axeze website and it seems that unit consists of a relay output "to security systems". If this is just a switch, and I have a spare zone, can I not just use another reader to zone x and configure this zone as disarm system?

Yes almost all access control systems will have this type of relay output
You can connect it to a spare zone and program it as Switch Normally Open and use a Response to arm or disarm the system

I have trawled the internet looking for something similar to the Axeze proximity reader, and come across this:

http://www.smarthome.com/77397/Enforcer-Stand-Alone-Proximity-Reader/p.aspx

There is a simple wiring diagram, and I am hoping that connections will be a simple black/red= -/+ from aux 12V on PCB, and brown/gray(n/o)= zone common/zone. As mentioned above by you, this will be to spare zone (type 8, response 60). The minimum relay output is 1 sec, is this ok?
Your help is greatly appreciated.

Yes that should work, as it was designed to connect to alarm systems
1 second pulse is OK, zoone sensitvitity is normally 500 ms

It says
"Smarthome does not offer technical support on this product, please contact the manufacturer directly for all product support."

Thanks Slychiu. I have been in contact with Seco-Larm in regards suitability, but wanted to confirm with you guys first.
Appreciate all the help.
