Ok this is a new box (Ultra, FS 24 (if i remember correctly)) Installed during the last year.
To provide a light for a pet, if we are out, I have a Timed programe that runs in the evening, and turns on a light via X10 if the system is in AWAY mode.
This light is turned off by running a x10L1Off response as the Security Off Response in comfigurator.
This works fine but last night, someone had left a message on the answerphone. and the light did not extinguish,
So I think Security off response does not run if there is a message waiting. I sign in, the messages are announced, then it announces security off, but the light does not go out.
I should try to do the same again, (incase the x10 signal was lost) but so far I've never had a lost x10 signal.
Am I doing somthing wrong, or is it a bug?
Thanks in advance

That is definately not a bug. If it were we would have had thousands of complaints. New message does not have anything to do with Security Off
X10 is known not to be very reliable, and may be affected by noise on the power line. Even if yours has not had problems there may have been some disturbance or noise at random times. Repeat the sequence of arming, new messafe and disarm and see if it happens again
