Comfort II is autoarming itself to away mode on an intermittent basis, it bypasses active zones, but the green keypad light remains on and the red light remains off. The display says its in away mode.  I dont have any routines that use autoarm to away mode, so I am at a loss to explain / resolve the problem.

Any ideas?

Thanks

I had this - there was a bug in Comfigurator - the upstairs PIR's triggered AwayMode !

I am not convinced that this is the same thing, apart from the result that Comfort II arms itself.

The thread you refer me to relates to a fault with Comfigurator in the coding of Response 427 System HappUpMov.  This relates to a light sensor response, which I do not use.  I dont (think) I use the response "Do SYSTEM-HallUpOff [Timered Response for movement trigger] After 360", which apparently was at the root of the problem.

Palmlodge: (1) Does / Did your keypad indicator lights stay "green on", even though it was armed to "away" and should have been "red on"?

Slychiu: You say in the other thread "There is an obscure bug in Comfigurator which was difficult to trace. This wil be fixed in the next release".  I am using the "interim release".  Was this bug meant to have been corrected in that thread.

Thanks

Forget the lightsensor.

The bug just happened to call the wrong response - in this case the hallupmovement response triggered the AwayMode response instead of lights etc.

What happened was every time you moved upstairs, it armed itself ! Just had to yank the power out of comfort and turn it off until we found out the cause.

The bug was still in 2.1.2, it applied in certain situations when the response is > 255. It is not related to the light sensor.

Okay, thanks for this information.

Today the system went through a cycle of arming and disarming itself, some 15 times in succession.  A small part of the log is clipped below.  I knew because I kept getting SMS messages.   I rang the house and turned the Security Off over the phone.  It armed itself once more, and stayed armed then.

Can I assume this is the same bug?

Were any responses accidentally added to the alarm responses? Maybe you could do a upload/download to verify?
