I have recently installed Comfort Ultra II and am having a problem with the intruder alarm during tests. I am using a Klaxon "Flashguard" sounder supplied by Radionics. The bellbox is wired according to the instructions supplied with Comfort II ("Bellbox Tamper Connection for Comfort 2" "truth table" for wiring sounders.

When I set off the intruder alarm I also get an "RS485 tamper #Comfort Controller" Alarm Type 11, which quickly restores, and then re-occurs and restores a couple of times more (with an SMS message for everyone of them!!).

Any ideas?

I am not sure which instructions you have ("Bellbox Tamper Connection for Comfort 2" "truth table" for wiring sounders.) as this may be supplied by the reseller, not Cytech.
I suspect that since the tamper alarm is activated, that somehow there is a problem with the connection

The tamper contact from the bellbox should be in series with the tamper on the Comfort enclosure, so that if the bell tamper contact is open it triggers the tamper alarm.

If you have a multimeter, measure the voltage across the Tamper input. It normally should be 3 volts. If it goes to 0 V the tamper alarm activates. It seems that the bell sounding is causing the Bell tamper to open and cause this alarm

I suggest you check the instructions and the connections.

regards
