I have had a number of problems with my metal door station (one way audio primarily) and a garage door contact (showed as open when door was closed).  The latter led to false alarms on the system.
I called my local approved installer who I have used before to replace the door contact and to replace the innards of the metal door station.
Long story short, I have been abandoned with an even worse performing door station (no sound at all and lot's of feedback) and a garage door contact that has been replaced but shows zone trouble permanently.  The installer cannot fix either problem after repeated fumbling and I have had to disable the door contact in Comfigurator to remove the trouble alert.
Can anyone recommend a reliable installer who will cover the Sheffield area (not the approved one on the website) please?

Which door station do you have, is it the DS01, DS02 or is it the old metal door station that works with Comfort 1?

Please send photos to support@cytech.biz

If you have zone trouble it may be because the zone shunts are not correct (JZ1 to JZ8) depending on whether you have end of line resistors.
If there are EOL resistors then the zone shunt should be away from the terminal block
If there are no EOL resistors then the zoneshunt should be closer to the terminal bllock

It may also be because the zone wires are shorted to something else

It is the old metal door station that started having audio issues so the installer replaced the internals with those from the DP03X.
You obviously have details of the system Chiu as the instsaller has been in contact with you due to the problems he has had with the system.  Yes there are EOL resistors on the zone and zone shunts, but I am not technical enough to understand what the issues are.
As the end user of the system I just want an approved installer to fix them for me.  The fact that the one authorised on your web-site cannot is worrying.
What do you recommend I do?

A quick diagnosis of the circuit, use a multimeter to do a buzz test with the contact open/closed it sounds to me as if the wiring maybe damaged for it to be an open circuit, any electrician will be able to check the cable with that simple test, also did they test the new sensor?
as for the door station that sounds like that the system may need to be reprogramed with all the new parameter.
Just an after thought try using an older version of comfigurator, esp when you first had the door station first installed (it maybe buggy, and that may explain why your installer had issues getting it right, should have just changed whole unit rather messing around with swopping parts)

Yes it is probably better to change the door station to a new  one, especially if the old one is from several generations ago.

The installer will be coming back to finish checking the system. I know that he is knowledgeable about Comfort so please bear with it
